I wish I had known before
That more of life seems to happen
The way you want,
If only you change a few words.
More I wants, I wills, I cans,
What next, how to and make plans.
Fewer should Is, could Is and may Is.
Ignore comments, questions and advice.
Just accept that you will never really ever know
If he truly likes you or she seriously thinks so.
Do it anyway, say it, play it, crave it.
When fear threatens, more reason to brave it.
Know even if dire failure threatens
You can fall back, regroup, try again.
It’s hard to do, at first, I know.
Start small, if you need, take it slow.
Pick something you’ve always wanted to do
Kiss a frog, walk a dog, doodle a shoe.
You’ll be amazed how things
Just start happening soon.
