As the sun sets into the Arabian Sea, I marvel at God’s artistry.
In the noise and crowds surrounding me, he gave me peace and timeless beauty.
A simple prayer of gratitude is in my heart, a ceaseless litany,
Thank you for another day, Thank you for another chance to be!
I am a mother, a wife, a friend, a sister, a daughter again this eve,
I have eyes to see, a mind to wonder and a heart to feel,
Once again, I am someone to scold, someone to kiss, someone to need,
New errors I have yet to make, old mistakes I will once again repeat.
But I will take a moment in this wondrous world fashioned by thee
The painted skies above, and below the ripples in an endless sea,
And pause in my frantic rush, as you look over my forgiven mischief
To Thank you for another day, Thank you for another chance to be!
